Our Opportunity

As the leader of a multidisciplinary Microsoft platforms team, this role requires strong stakeholder engagement, advanced cloud architecture capability, and the ability to drive best practice engineering across Microsoft cloud environments, AWS hosted Windows deployments, and on premises systems.

 

As the team leader you will:

 

  • Be responsible for ensuring that cloud services, management platforms, governance frameworks, automation processes, and operational practices are mature, reliable, and designed to enable the organisation to effectively leverage its cloud and modern workplace technologies
  • Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight for the administration and support of Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, AWS EC2 hosted services, and related cloud technologies, ensuring reliable, secure, and well governed operations across the organisation
  • Lead the delivery of modern endpoint management practices using Microsoft Intune, guiding the team in application packaging, policy configuration, compliance and configuration profiles, remediation scripting, and advanced endpoint troubleshooting within a cloud only environment
  • Oversee identity and access management across Active Directory and Entra ID, ensuring the effective creation, optimisation, and lifecycle management of Conditional Access policies, identity governance frameworks, and enterprise access processes
  • Provide escalation leadership for Level 2 and Level 3 support, coordinating resolution of complex cloud centric issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and AWS environments while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Ensure high quality technical documentation across cloud services, Intune managed endpoints, Azure resources, AWS EC2 workloads, and identity platforms, including system configurations, integration patterns, and recovery procedures maintained in ServiceNow Knowledge Base, SharePoint, or Confluence
  • Drive cloud governance and compliance initiatives, including RBAC models, cloud policy development, identity lifecycle management, and alignment to organisational control frameworks
  • Support continuous improvement and the implementation of new M365 solutions including the of best practises, collaborating across the organisation and providing expertise in forums. 

 

Job specific capabilities

The successful candidate will have the following:

 

  • Leadership, including ability to train and supervise staff, work flexibly across various initiatives, and develop and manage productive stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skill.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice and direction on complex technical matters
  • Understanding of the importance of quality assurance, consistency/reuse, version control and deployment processes in an ICT context
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Microsoft Platforms Engineer.

 

To support the technical leadership requirements of the role, you will also need to demonstrate that you have sustained experience across ICT cloud environments and the capability to oversee complex cloud operations, ensure secure and scalable platform management, and lead the implementation of modern engineering practices that enable reliable service delivery across a contemporary multi‑cloud environment, with expertise in:

 

  • Microsoft 365 platform services including SharePoint, Teams and other M365 Applications
  • Endpoint management using Intune and associated policies and procedures
  • Azure Enterprise Applications and App Registration configuration and lifecycle management including Certificate and Secret Management
  • Conditional Access, endpoint security controls, secure connectivity patterns, and identity‑based access models
  • ServiceNow Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
  • RBAC configuration setup (Access Packages) and identity governance across multi‑cloud environments.
